Scanner Upload and Processing

(ScanCoun.exe) This program will facilitate uploading and processing for scanners. After scanning the count, download the scanner in the EHS Wandpoll Program, by clicking on the Scan Selected Scanner button. (The scanner will beep) In the Events field, Time of Last Download will fill in. Click the Pause button.

In Scanners Upload and Processing, select the correct tab, (either Scan N Count or Scan N Go ® ) for the scanner. Make sure Create PO's, Create Issues, Create Pick Tickets are checked in the center column as desired. Click on Upload Data button in left column. (Information will fill in). Click on the Process button in the right column. (Creates Purchase Orders, decrements inventory and/or create pick tickets based on the information processed). The program will allow one user at a time to process RSL’s, if another user attempts to process while someone is processing, a warning message will display with the Username of the person currently processing. Only RSL’s that are marked Active in the will process.

There is a System Option, Don’t Allow Issue Pick Scancoun, in the Remote Stocking Location module, which will limit access to the Create Pick Tickets box.

There is a System Option, Check Min Order, in the Remote Stocking Location module that will allow the user to turn off the feature that checks the minimum order as set in the Vendor or Entity Master Files.

There is a System Option, Don’t Go Over Par, in the Remote Stocking Location module, which will not allow an item to go over the par level when reordering.

There is a System Option, Don’t Reset to Par, in the Remote Stocking Location module, which will not set to the Par Level if an item is out of stock.

There is a System Option, Use Vat Code PO Header, under the Purchasing module which when set to Y, will write the Vat Code to the PO Header.

There is a System Option, Dont Go Below Zero, under the Remote Stocking Location module, which when set to Y, will not allow On Hands to go below zero when scanning.

There is a System Option, ScanNGo® Show OnHand Msg, under the Remote Stocking Location module. This will display a message if there is no On Hand when set to Y (Yes), which is the default.

There is a System Option, Process RSL Create Reqs, under the Wandpoll System (Scanners) module, which when set to Y (Yes) will allow the user to create a requisition instead of a purchase order when processing from a Remote Stock Location. When viewing the center column, the screen would then display Create Requisitions instead of Create PO’s. After processing, a log file may be accessed which will display the Requisition number that was created. The system will then require proper review and approvals within the Online Requisitioning module before a purchase order may be created.

There is a System Option, Show Already On Order, under the Remote Stocking Locations module. When set to Y (Yes) after processing an RSL, a Confirm screen will display asking if the user wishes to view a log file containing items that were previously On Order.

There is a System Option, Refill Expected Use Unreleased Pos, under the Remote Stocking Location module. This will include unreleased purchase orders in the calculation for reordering in the processing programs
