Scanner Setup Program

(ScanSet.exe) Click on the Scanner Setup Program. There are separate Com Port entries for Videx, Scan N Go ® and Scan N Issue. Under Scan N Go the user may choose a Default Nursing Unit. In the Area section, if RSL is selected a specific RSL may be entered in the RSL field or if Location is selected, a Default Location and Expense Entity and Department may be entered. If the user wishes to add another RSL they can do so by putting a semi-colon and then the next RSL. Then in ScanNGo the alternate RSL will show in the Choose RSL section. Another option is to run Assign Nursing Units to RSL (nursingunittorsl.exe)., to assign the alternate RSL's to the Nursing Unit. Then in ScanNGo the user will see ALT Area, where they can choose the RSL.

An Inactivity/Logout Interval may be entered or a selection to Override the System Option of 90 Seconds may be chosen. There is a Bypass Rooms check box to allow the user to bypass the first screen in the Touch Screen Scan N Go ® program

If Scan N Issue is utilized may enter a ComPort and Location. There is also a Scanner Options section with a drop down selection for the model and where the user may check to Send a Valid or Invalid Beep.

When the correct parameters are selected press OK.
