Touch Screen Scan N Go ®

(ScanNGo.exe) Initially, the user will view a keyboard where the user must login by entering their Username and Password or the user may scan their employee badge. After logging in, a screen appears and the user must click the Choose Patient Care Unit button. The Patient Care Unit Lookup displays and the Unit may be entered or selected from the list by clicking on that line. There are also 3 buttons that appear at the top of the screen:

All Patients: Will display all patients in the facility in a lookup screen.

Patients in Unit: Will display all patients in the displayed Nursing Unit.

Floor Stock: This is used when charging items that will be utilized by the staff on multiple patients

This screen may be bypassed by checking Bypass Rooms in the Scanner Setup Program.

The next screen displays Rooms that may be selected. After selecting the Room, the Bed may then be selected. This will then display the Patient and this allows the user to issue items to the patient.

Scan the barcode of the item that the user wishes to charge the patient or enter the Material Code or use the lookup. Continue entering or scanning until complete. Each time a barcode is scanned it represents one item; the user has the ability to change the quantity to other than one by using the Red Up Arrow. Set this to the quantity needed before scanning the next barcode. The next scan will revert the Quantity amount back to 1. When pulling an item from a different RSL the user may click in the quantity field in the grid to change the quantity, a screen will display to do so.

Touch the Home button to work with another Room and Bed. Press the Done button if the user does not wish to charge any more items. This will end the transaction for that patient.

If the user checks the "Include All Patients in Lookups" all patients in the facility will display in the lookup.

When selecting the Credit Item check box, this will credit the patient when the user cans the Material Code. There is a User Master File option, SNG Can Stay in Credit Mode, under the SNC, Stock Reorder, Returns, Auto Transfers tab which when checked will allow the user to maintain the Credit Item checkbox and keep it from unchecking after crediting the item. It works as a three way switch. First, as unchecked and then second with a single check, it will revert back to unchecked after the credit. Third, by clicking on it twice will display the Credit Item caption in red and will maintain the credit mode without unchecking after the credit.

When selecting the Waste Item check box, the system will consider the unusable. Use this when the item is damaged or contaminated in some form.

To find an item on an RSL, scan the item and the click on the Find button. This will display every RSL in the facility that contains the item. The screen displays the On Hand and the Bin on that unit. The user then has the ability to Charge the patient from this screen. Select the RSL and then touch the Charge button.

There is a System Option, Show New Patient Button, in the RSL module, when set to Y (Yes) will display a New Pat(ient) button on the screen. This will clear out of the current patient and allow to enter a new patient.

There is a System Option, SNG Can Stay in Credit Mode, in the Scan N Count, Scan N Go ® section on the SNC, Stock Reorder, Returns, Auto Transfers tab of User Master File. When set to Y (Yes) will display the caption in red indicating that the program is in Credit mode when checking the Credit box.

To access the Desktop settings, right click in the screen and a popup displays to allow the user to utilize the desktop settings similar to what is on the Taskbar.
