Assign Applications To User Groups
(AppToGrp.exe) This program allows the user to choose which applications to be assigned to each user group. More than one group may be assigned to more an application. Once these assignments are made, the groups will be able to access only the applications to which they are assigned. Thus, it is essential that the groups are assigned to each application that they will need to access.
Prior to using this program, the user must use the following:
Note: Applications, not modules, are assigned to user groups. This allows different types of user groups to access different applications within a module.
Keep in mind that an application may be assigned to more than one module. If you are working with such an application, you only need to assign user groups once. User groups will automatically be assigned for that application in all modules.
There are two ways to view this program, Groups per Application and Applications per Group. They will both serve as means to the same end, making sure that all users have access to the necessary applications.
