(AppGrpMt.exe) This program allows the user to choose which applications to be assigned to each module. An application may be assigned to more than one module. Once these assignments are made, the applications for each module will appear together in a logical order on the main menu of the system. When users want to work on the system in Accounts Payable, for example, they will be able to double click on the Accounts Payable module to see a list of the applications pertaining to this module.
Prior to using this program, the user must use the following programs:
Assign Applications to User Groups
Please keep in mind, individual applications, not entire modules, are assigned to user groups for access. Therefore, it is possible to allow only certain user groups to view an application in a module.
The screen for this program is divided into two sections. On the left is a list of modules that are available on your system. They appear exactly as they do on the main menu in your system. Each module is listed; many have a plus sign to the left of the name of the module. Click on the plus sign to show inquiries and reports for a module. Applications may be assigned to a module, and its inquiries or reports. The right side of the screen shows two lists, one of all applications assigned to a particular module, the other of all available applications which aren't assigned to that particular module. By moving the applications between these lists, you can assign an application to, or delete an application from, a module.
This screen contains single and double arrow buttons to make moving items easier.
Adding an Application to a Module
In the column on the left hand side of the screen, choose a module, report or inquiry by clicking on its name or on the plus sign to the left of the name of the module. That name will be highlighted. Next, highlight the available, unassigned application that will be added to the module by clicking on the name of the application. Then, click on the single left arrow button or double click on the application. The application will move from the list of applications that are not assigned to the module into the list of applications that are assigned to the module.
In order to add to the module all of the applications that aren't currently a part of it, simply click on the button with double arrows pointing left. The module will now contain all applications in the system.
Deleting an Application from a Module
In the column on the left hand side of the screen, choose a module, report or inquiry by clicking on its name or on the plus sign to the left of the name of the module. That name will be highlighted. Next, highlight the application that will be deleted from the module by clicking on the name of the application. Then, click on the single right arrow button or double click on the application. The application will move from the list of applications that are assigned to the module into the list of applications that are not assigned to the module.
In order to delete all of the current applications from a module, simply click on the button with double arrows pointing right. The module will no longer have any associated applications.
