(PhysInv.exe) This program will allow the user to enter new on-hand counts for physical inventory. Depending on the system option you have set in PHYSINV PROCESS IMMEDIATELY in the Inventory module, the system will either update the on-hand quantities immediately, or you will need to run the program Process Physical Inventory after running this program. In addition, depending on the system options that you have set in PHYSINV ADD COUNTS in the Inventory module, you may have the ability to add counts together.
When you begin this application, use the drop down menu in the Location field to choose the location in which you are working. All of the material codes available in this location will appear in the table below in bin number order. Select a Bin Number or Material Code to work with by double clicking on it in the table. Or, to select a Material Code, type its number in that field, or use the lookup function. This can also be done in the Material Code Description field. The Bin Number, Units and current On Hand quantity will appear. Enter the new on hand quantity, and hit the Enter key. The new on hand will appear in the grid under the On Hand column. All numbers in the On Hand column appear in red.
If you have the Bin Number, you may type that in, or use the lookup function in that field. The Material Code and Description, as well as the Units and On Hand quantity will appear. Enter the new on hand quantity, and press the Enter key.
After you enter the on hand quantity, the system will immediately go to the next bin number and display the relevant information. Type in the next on hand quantity, and hit enter. The system will automatically progress to the next bin number, and so forth. Once you have entered all information for the current location, move on to the next one.
Should you need to make changes to the information relating to the bins, use Change Bin, Min and Max.
The system allows you to perform Cycle Counts or to Physical Inventory an entire stock location. If you wish to do an entire location be sure to enter every item in the location, do not skip over any item. When you print the Physical Inventory Variance Report it will total all lines entered.
Under the Physical Inventory module, Reports, you may print or view the Physical Inventory Variance Report, which displays the inventory information entered based on Location and Sort (Material Code or Bin), with the count, variance information and associated costs.
In the Tools menu, the user may Reset Current On Hands. If selected a Confirm box displays with a warning about resetting the On Hand levels and recalculating the variances for the Location.
May choose to View by Stock, Consignment, Direct, Reusable or Only Active Items.
