Reports and Inquiries

One of the many benefits to the EHS Materials Resources Management System is the ability to create custom reports and inquiries.  We have over 300 standard reports and inquiries that are provided with your system. Those prepared reports and inquiries are detailed in the Module section. The Report and Inquiry names are in brackets (______.exe) at the beginning of the report descriptions, if you would need to provide that information when making a request about a report or an inquiry. The Output Selection allows the user to either print the report to the Screen or Printer. You will also have the ability to format your own reports using Crystal Reports to complement those that are already constructed. In this way, your system will be customized even further to suit your facilities needs. The prepared reports for the EHS MRMS were written using Crystal Reports. It would be helpful to have some knowledge of Crystal Reports before attempting to write customized reports.

Reports

This section is an attempt to give you a few basics about what you will see when you print a report. At the top of the report, you will see its title and other heading information, including the date and page number. Following that will be the data pertinent to the report you have chosen.

Should you choose to Print to Screen, you will have a menu bar at the top of the screen. The following options will be available:

Inquiries

Inquiries will display information from the database on the screen in a grid format relating to the specified inquiry. If there is a Header and Detail in the program being queried a field will appear in blue on the line, and allow the user to click on it to display the other screen (if in the Header, it will reveal the Detail or vice versa). Also, in some inquiries there may be an Explosion Screen, which when double clicked upon, will display greater detail than the screen the user is in. The Inquiries that have the Explosion Screens will be indicated in the Help File with the screen names.
