Profile Master File

(Profile.exe) This program will allow the user to enter and delete Profile information in the system. There is a System Option, Profile Type in the System module that will allow you to link the profile information to a certain department, for example when using the field for grant information, selection G. Selection P, the Profile must exist in the Profile Master File. The system option may be set to allow the field to be free form, selection N. Finally, selection A, requires that the Profile ID will be validated with the Account Number. Profile ID’s may be assigned to an account number using the Account Number Master File. See your system administrator for more information on the System Option.  

Adding a Profile

Key in CTRL+N, choose the New icon or select File then New from the application menu to begin entering a new Profile. If the Profile is linked to a Department, you will see four fields. Use the drop down box to enter the Entity first. Then, use the lookup function or type in the Department with which the Profile will be associated. Type in the Profile to be assigned, and add its Description. A Spec Code may be added if needed. There is an

Active check box which will be checked upon creation. This may be unchecked to inactivate the Profile. Finally, key in CTRL+S, File the Save or click the Save icon.  

Deleting a Profile

To delete a Profile, first select the Profile you want to delete. You can use the lookup function to accomplish this. Then key in CTRL+D, click the Delete icon or choose File then Delete from the application menu. Answer yes to the question asking you if you are sure you want to delete the record.

 

Under the Tools menu, there is an Export function. When selected, an Export Items screen appears, select the export format.
