End of Day

(EndDay.exe) This program will enable the user to run an End of Day process. When you bring up the End of Day application, you will see a table at the bottom of the screen. It will display the programs that will be executed as a part of the End of Day. This information will have been entered into the system as a part of the End of Day Master File. You will be able to see the following information for each program:

• Sequence - The order in which the programs that make up the End of Day will run.
• Program - The executable name of the program.  
• Title - The description of the program.
• Parameters - Line after program name required by certain programs.

Click on the button marked Start End of Day. You'll only be able to click on it once to start the End of Day process. Once you begin, the button will be inoperable. Once the program is running, it will display the Start Time and the Current Program that it is executing. When it is done, it will display the End Time. If the user enters the program and the button that is normally marked Start End of Day is marked Restart, the process has not completed, or if you receive an error message in End of Day, please contact Electronic Healthcare Systems for assistance.

There is a System Option, EOD Date Check, under the End of Day module, which will notify the user with a Warning screen, if End of day has been run within the past 22 hours, if set to Y (Yes).
