Build Catalog

(BldCat.exe) This program allows the system to build a catalog based on system information and history.

Choose tab on bottom either by Location, by Department, by RSL or by Deliver To.

By Location:  Select Location using the drop down, select Type using the drop down, select Product Class using the drop down or check All Product Classes for all,  leave all vendors checked if appropriate, or if you want to choose a single vendor, uncheck the box and enter the vendor number or use the lookup. You may also select multiple Product Classes by unchecking All Product Classes and pressing the CTRL key and clicking on the Product Classes you want to select, these will highlight in blue.  Enter the catalog number you want to create, press Tab and enter the catalog name in the field to the right. Press the Create Catalog button.  You will view a total number in the items added block There is also a check box to Auto Create Catalog with the Product Class as the Name if so desired. A Confirm box will display to verify the automatic creation of the catalogs and after creating them a screen displays asking if you wish to view a list with the created catalogs. There is a System Option in the Requisitions module, Use Active Locs Only Catalog, which may be set to include only Active Location items.

By Department:  Select Entity using the drop down, enter Department number or use the lookup, and then select Location using the drop down.  You can choose whether to base the catalog on Issues or Purchases or both by checking the appropriate box(es). You can pick the time frame up to the previous 100 months of history.  Enter an amount or use the up and down arrows under Process last _ months. There is an option to Exclude RSL Items from the catalog.  Enter the catalog number you wish to create, press Tab and enter the catalog name.  Press the Create Catalog button There is a popup screen that will display to notify the user if a catalog already exists with selection buttons that will allow the user to Add Items or to Rebuild Catalog. When choosing to rebuild the catalog the program will delete the prior Detail items and then rebuild from scratch.

By RSL:  Enter the Remote Stocking Location number or use the Lookup, enter the catalog number and name of the catalog, press the Create Catalog button.  When created, it will display "Done" - Press OK.

By Deliver To:  Select Entity, choose Deliver To by entering or use the Lookup, select Location, select the time frame in the Process last __months box, select Type.  Enter the catalog and name.  Press Create Catalog.
