Transfer Inventory

(TranInv.exe) In this program, the user will be able to transfer items from one stocking location to another within your facility. First, enter information about the stocking locations in the top portion of the screen.

• From Location - use the drop down menu to choose the stocking location where the item is currently stored.
• To Location - use the drop down menu to choose the stocking location to which you want to transfer the item.
• Material Code and Description - type in the Material Code of the item or use the lookup function to find it.
• Add Item to Pick Slip - if you want the system to print pick slips, check this item.
• Unit of Issue - the default unit of issue of this item will appear. Use the drop down menu to choose the correct one if there is more than one available.
• On Hand - the current on hand quantity of this item in this stocking location will appear.
• Quantity - type in the number that you want to transfer from the "from" stocking location to the "to" stocking location. Then press the Enter key.
• Memo – may add a memo if necessary.

When you're ready to select the next item, key in the Material Code.
Select Show All Users from View if you want to exercise this option.
If, by chance, you attempt to transfer a quantity that is greater than the on hand quantity at the "from" stocking Location you have chosen, a screen will pop up telling you that there is insufficient stock on hand to fill your request. It will ask you if you want to transfer those items that are available. Answer yes to do so.
 

Printing Pick Tickets

When you are finished transferring the inventory, select Reports then Transfer Pick Tickets from the application's main menu. The system will run the print program to generate the pick tickets.
